JAFC Community Chaplain to serve seniors in the Minnesota area
JAFC Chaplain The Reverend Joseph Calandra has accepted the position of Director of Chaplaincy at Guardian Angels Senior Services in Elk River, MN. Guardian Angels is a non-profit organization deeply grounded in faith and commitment to share Christ’s love with the people they serve, in addition to providing exceptional health care, housing, and support services for seniors and their families since 1965.
Today, 600 dedicated staff members serve over 3,000 people per year and as a front runner in new technology, Guardian Angels offers Healthsense Emergency Call and Wellness Monitoring– a technology that can actually predict health by motion. These innovative platforms carefully monitor an individual’s patterns (sleep, food, elimination, etc.) using motion sensors so seniors are given added care without sacrificing dignity and privacy.
Chaplain Calandra is a U.S. Air Force veteran and graduate of Nashotah House with a BA in Religious Studies and an M.A. in American Government. He currently attending and assisting the clergy at Redeemer Anglican Church in St. Paul, MN.
