Anglican Chaplains feature one of our many outreach ministries for loving Christians like you to join us in Serving for the Glory of God. Beginning now through National Adoption Month we are sharing a special ministry that assists adopting families called THE ANGLICAN CHAPLAIN ADOPTION FUND.

We have just received a grant from “The Matthew 25 Initiative, a program to fund Christ-centered ministries that promise to meet the real human needs of the poor and needy and transmit the Gospel of God’s Grace to those served. Outside donors will MATCH all of the donations received to the Anglican Chaplains Adoption Fund. If the Lord calls to your heart, please consider a love gift on this website:

Under the oversight of the Bishop of the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy, the Special Jurisdiction of the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy supports the endorsement and care of chaplains serving in the US military, federal and local government, hospital and hospice, law enforcement and other vocational and volunteer chaplains serving their communities. We are the endorsing agency and canonical residence for professional chaplains in the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). We also partner with many other ministries to help the church spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Thank YOU for taking the time to select the National Christian Foundation donate button (top right of this page) to offer a love gift in support of the ministries of our chaplains here and around the world.

“In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.” (Ephesians 1:4b-6 ESV).

Christians are called to care for orphans as a reflection of God’s gracious adoption of them into his family through Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. Additionally, Biblical Christianity has a commitment to the dignity of human life made in the image of God.  Christians have an opportunity to support initiatives that encourage pro-life possibilities for mothers who courageously birth a child but are unable to continue to care for the child and seek an adoption plan.

Mark & Sandi Lawrence

The Jurisdiction of the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy (JAFC) supports the endorsement and care of chaplains serving in the US military, federal and local government, hospital and hospice, law enforcement and other vocational and volunteer chaplains serving their communities.  JAFC supports pro-life initiatives that care for birthparents, children, and Christian adoptive families. To support these efforts, Anglican Chaplains created the Anglican Chaplains Adoption Fund (ACAF).  The fund’s committee is committed to raising awareness of adoption needs and assisting adopting families.  These are some specific ways that the fund will support Anglican families in the adoption process:

  • Provide prayer support and partnership.
  • Provide reimbursement directly to the Adoption Agency on behalf of the family for specific expenses in the adoption process such the home study and placement fees.
  • Provide information and counsel on other resources for adopting families.

The ACAF is an advocate for adoption in the Anglican Church in North American by partnering with other Jurisdictions, Dioceses, and churches to raise awareness and assist in coordinating resources.

Anglican Chaplains, Churches, and Christians are invited to contribute to this fund.

Wherefore, they which be endued with so excellent a benefit of God, be called according to God’s purpose by his Spirit working in due season: they through Grace obey the calling: they be justified freely: they be made sons of God by adoption: they be made like the image of his only-begotten Son Jesus Christ: they walk religiously in good works, and at length, by God’s mercy, they attain to everlasting felicity.

-Articles of Religion, XVII.

We yield thee hearty thanks, most merciful Father, that it hath pleased thee to regenerate this Infant with thy Holy Spirit, to receive him for thine own Child by adoption, and to incorporate him into thy holy Church. And humbly we beseech thee to grant, that he, being dead unto sin, and living unto righteousness, and being buried with Christ in his death, may crucify the old man, and utterly abolish the whole body of sin; and that, as he is made partaker of the death of thy Son, he may also be partaker of his resurrection; so that finally, with the residue of thy holy Church, he may be an inheritor of thine everlasting kingdom; through Christ our Lord. Amen.
